    Default Parks highway

Has anyone been up fishing the Parks highway streams for trout yet? I might head up this weekend or next, just wondering if anyone has caught any fish. Also some recomendations where to get some early trout around the anchorage area would be great. I fished Ship creek last week end and no dice. Campbell looks inviting, might try that this weekend if I don't go north....thanks in advance for all the suggestions

Will do. With gas prices the way they are I might stay around town. What's more important though? Going fishing, or worrying about money? I say fishing! Greg, let me know how you do. If the fish are biting I think my decision will be made for me.

akfun, I know some streams are closed to harvest. I study the regs fairly rigorously to make sure I remain legal. I don't really wanna keep any anyway. Just wan to fish. Thanks for the heads up though

A buddy and I are talking, most likely will, about heading up north. Probably the Willow.
I just want/need to get out. The weather should be nice this weekend although it's not right now.

I was also thinking about heading that way, I drove up to the little su the other night and it is all clear of ice for the most part.

Anyone know if any dollies ever show up in the trail race... before the kings start running?

I'll be there this weekend pending the weather. Gonna stop by sportsmans and pick up some stone and caddis nymphs friday. You think a mosquito nymph pattern would work? I've seen some out already but don't know if they are that far north yet. What other hatches are going on this time of year?

I went to Willow yesterday. Nothing. But it was good to get out. there were a couple other guys that left right after I got there; they didn't catch anything either.

I think leeches, smolt and such would probably be more effective than mosquitos and caddis, but I don't know for sure.
