    Default s&w 500

I had the pleasure to fire the 500 8 inch earlyer this week and I loved it. (it was in Kansas 75 and sunny) My question is do you think the four inch would increase the recoil dramaticly. I undestand less barrel less weight more recoil but how much. If anyone has fired both please replie thanks.

They recoil about the same. If I were shooting either of mine (4 in vs 6.5 in) blind folded I doubt I could tell you which one I was shooting.

I've found them to be about the same recoilwise too. (New word, "recoilwise"?) I've shot both and own the 4".

the 4" i shot was easier than my .44. Not too bad at all. A lotta gun though.
