    Default PWS Delivery

OK PWS users. I ran into a guy last year in Eagle river with a jet ski. He and I got to talking and he uses the jet ski in PWS to deliver items to boats in the sound. He had his business on the window of his truck, but I forgot what it was.

Anyway, say you run out of beer (not us boat drivers ) he will deliver to your boat the beer, plus a fee for delivery.

    Has anyone had this done?

I thought, What a need way to fill a niche in the sound. he says he stays busy all summer long and may have to hire someone this summer.

The last thing I want is to have a jet ski buzzing around when I'm out on the water and especially when I'm anchored up in a quite cove. I gave a guy a piece of my mind last summer when he was hot-rodding his jet ski around in Surprise Cove. If the service used a boat (quieter), then it sounds like it could be useful.

    Thumbs up PWS Delivery

I think there's room in the Sound for a couple of jet skis. Especially, if they're here & gone. Sounds like a great idea.

    Talking delivery boy

Commmunications has got to be an issue. I like the idea. Doubt he will be the "kind" that buzzes around aimlessly. He probably tows a trailer. I think Surprise Cove is too busy of a place to expect quiet. Especially when I get there and tie up with 4 or 5 of my buds. Rock and roll. Do you suppose he would haul my wife home?

    Default don't know

who he is or do I know his number. He may have his number on the board in the harbor master's office. He may have his call sign.

hey skydiver, I remember the story, but in talking to this guy all he does is deliveries.

    Skydiver,
Park next to me, you won't beable to hear any motors with all the fish splashing, and screaming of "fish on" constantly...We are way more annoying than jet skis!

I have nothing against a person making a living or just side cash from doing deliveries on a jetski in PWS. All I can say is they have more insulated skin than I do that water is COLD! I know it would not be cost effective to make those kinds of runs with a boat so I can see why he uses a jetski.

I wore a dry suit once knee boarding the Chena river at breakup and it didn't keep me warm. Then again my head, hands, and feet were not covered so I know that was causing a large loss of heat.

Yeah, Yeah, I've tied up to you and I didn't see any fish jumping. I did see some mean looking food on the grill though

I wonder what a 6-pack of IPA would cost delivered out at Montague?
