    Default Success on Dalton.....

Just went up past Atigun Pass this past weekend with a buddy for some caribou. As soon as we got through the pass the caribou were there in large numbers. The ones we came across were pretty skiddish, but nothing a little stalking didn't take care of. The day was warm, and the night was chilly with the wind picking up.

How is the snow? Any chance of getting out of the 5 mile corridor?

It was warm during the day, I was wearing a light fleece and gloves and was sweating pretty hard....but very cold at night. The snow was very shallow, opted not to use snowshoes or ski's. It was a long. tough 5 mile walk back to the truck. But we saw bou EVERYWHERE!! Planning on getting number 2 here in 2 weeks.
