    Default Cannery creek

Does anyone know anything about the Cannery creek on the other side of the inlet. It is almost directly across from Kenai (city). I was wondering about species present, how wide it is, and what is the class rating for the water. Thanks
It ain't about the # of pounds of meat we bring back, nor about how much we spent to go do it. Its about seeing what no one else sees.

Drift River is right next to this drainage, to the north. Does anyone have any information on it? It seems to be considerably larger than Cannery Creek.

Cannery creek is pretty small and has a small waterfall a mile or so from the mouth the whole area has deep volcanic ash from Redoubts eruption in the 90s. The fish wait for high tide to get over the falls. A small run of silvers show up in August sometime. The workers at the drift river tanker loading terminal fish it as their 'home' waters as the river is close to the terminal. Drift river is bigger, but as far as I know only has chums. both are glacial and opaque.

    Why???

Becuase the Kustatan has a pretty significant silver run...if it's that close, one could only guess that Cannery Creek has a number of silvers in it too (early / mid-August).
