    Default Boat Tops

Need to replace the soft top on my Hewes Craft 18'. Anybody know of a good place in the Anchorage area? looking for quality, but price is always important.

Default I was a happy customer

Call Melanie at Silver Streak Boats. It's over by West Marine. They may be able to get you in and out before summer is over but good luck.

Default Another plug for Silver Streak

Just got my boat from them today, they did a great job and I almost couldnt be happier.

It was a little pricey though, on a 17 foot boat total job for a bow cover, top, cruise curtain, and slantback came to 2210.00. It would have been 1900 but I had them add extra zippers and windows to various places, I'll upload a picture later today if you want.

Thanks for the tips. I went by and saw melanie today and got a slot the first week of May. I'll post some pix when I get the work done.

I dropped my airboat off at Buster's this morning. Willy has been great to work with, and gave me what I thought was a good price, especially after I compared prices with a couple of other shops. I'll have to post a pic when I get the boat back on Friday.

I drop mine off at Buster's on the 25th to enclose the back end of the boat. Willie did my slant top for winter storage last fall and treated me right. The only problem - he's probably already booked into July . . .

I bet he's booked solid. I gave him a down payment to secure my slot TWO months ago.

Heres the pix of the top, slantback and bow cover Silver Streak did.

BTW, make sure you take EVERYTHING out of the boat, I had a somewhat expensive battery charger disappear while it was out in their yard, there are a couple of other businesses in that building and people go in and out.

I just had a top built at Silver Streak, also. Great work, great price, great people and fast service. Here are a couple pics of mine.

I just picked up my boat from Busters this afternoon, a day ahead of schedule. I was extremely impressed with the new top. It was incredibly rigid and well built. I doubt I'll have a problem towing the boat with the top in place. Willy was great to work with and gave me a good price compared to other shops I priced out. I'll post a picture tomorrow if I have time.
