    Default 454 casull 300 Gold dots

    I shot some 300 Gold dots yesterday.

    Win cases, federal 205 primer. H110 loads are from speer manual, LIL'GUN data from Hodgdon manual

    H110

    30--1519 I plan on trying these for groups too
    30.5--1504
    31---1501,1504,1512,1495 Then fired 6 for a group at 27 yards
    31.5---1546
    32---1561
    32.5---1617 this one was stuck in the chamber.

    LIL'GUN (shot these a couple days ago)
    29.5---1529,1594

    two each 30gr, 30.5gr, 31gr -----1590, 1537, 1668, 1727, 1614, 1642 all of these were sticky and I would not go above 29.5 and may even try going lower. Except I think I will go with H110 for this bullet.

    ---

    Picture is H110 31 grains at 27 yards. Off the hood of my truck. I hate shooting paper and dont spend much time on it. I'd rather shoot pop cans or firewood.

    Hi there;
    Hey, do you have any light loads figured out for the 454? I can't shoot a hundred rounds of even the reduced published loads without burning out..but really like the pistol as it is so well made and want to plink with it.

    I have shot the 240 sierra with a load of Universal clays. The velocity was around 1150 and the kick was mild. The 240 sieera cannot be loaded too fast or it will break apart in the forcing cone(BTDT).I would go the next route though.

    I would highly suggest getting some Trail Boss powder and some cast bullets.

    I just got done shooting some trail boss in my 41 mag Tracker a 44 mag Tracker and my 500 S&W rifle. I like it a lot.
