I've heard both good and bad about using hooligan for halibut bait. They are very oily so I would think they would work pretty good but I have never tried. Have any of you had good or bad luck using them? How is it compaired to the regular herring?

Good scent. A little on the small side and don't stay on quite as well as herring. I have caught plenty of halibut with them myself though.
Hike faster. I hear banjo music.
