Default Early season fishing on the Russian River

Was reading thru paperwork put out by AK fish and game on fishing the Russian and they said the following: "Early Spring Russian River trout fishing can be excellent (before the trout spawing season closure)" and "Year aroud Dolly Varden residents are often caught"

The question is simple, If this is true, why have I never read on the forum about fishing the Russian early on and only the Kenai? Thanks

It might be access to the river. Im not sure when they open the gates to the campground. Otherwise park at the bottom and walk or bike in. I think the kenai gets the attention because we are all itching to get the boats in the water plus the kenai always attracts the most attention. I fish the russian spring and summer and have had great success
