    Default Barney's Brooks Range jacket?

Anyone have one? Thoughts? Looks to be a good jacket to be wearing on a windy day on a hillside glassing or something. Worth the coin?

I did a search and came up with limited results.

It's a great lightweight insulator for sure. I have one of the older ones Barney's had made in camo. I don't know what they're getting for them nowadays, but Integral Designs, who makes the jacket lists it for $240 USD. It's the Integral Dolomite Jacket.

Thanks for that information. I'll give it a check.

Not sure the current price on the Brooks Range jacket is either at the moment, but was told it was close to $300, I think.

Man the patches have gone up too!
Try to get one without the patch.

    Default to each their own

It is spendy... It is the dolomitti... It is nice...

It's the warmest, lightest most compressble jacket I've ever worn.

Go by and look one over... Their supercub model is also great. (3 or 4oz vs 5 oz primaloft version)

    Default Better check again

Hey Alasken I think the point is that's a good jacket. It's made by Integral Designs. It's called the Dolomitti Jacket...

That's straight from their web site... Click on it and tell me I'm wrong...?

I said that's the jacket. I should have put a little smiley in my last post.

    Matt,
Try diamond back tactical, I picked one up from them in Nov for under 2 bills & it included the hood.

    Default :)

    I hear ya... me too.

yesterday was a way long day... I must have left my sense of humor at work...

Back to the subject at hand - After buying a jacket and using it for a hunt and one winter I bought the pants.

There are other options out there are good as well:

    Mt Hardware; compressor series
    Patagonia; micro puff
    check out Wild gear.com
and I'm sure there are many others.

But you asked about Barney's... I bought it and would do it again in a second.

    Default Great

I can't say enough about how much I like mine. My wife liked mine so much that we got her one in red through Barney's. Last time I talked to Bob he said they were going to start using a new fabric for the lining which reflects body heat back to improve the insulating factor. Can't imagine being warmer for the weight than the one I already have.
