    Default 7x64

Late last summer I purchased a barrel for my Blaser in a 7x64 just because I have umpteen thousand 7mm bullets in the 150 thr 175 gr range and needed a rifle to help dispose of them properly.

After zeroing my rifle in with some Remington factory ammo ( I have a whole case of it shot groups in the area of 3 inches) I proceeded to load up some 175 gr Hornadys with 52gr of H4831ssc the rifle went to shooting these perfect little cloverleafs with 3 holes touching every stinking time I pulled the trigger after doing this repeated times I got to hearing a weird sound turns out it was a choir singing the most moving song.

Well after such a moving and emotional expieriance I had no choice but call up my Blaser dealer and order a new Attache barrel in 7x64 if one 7x64 is so moving two 7x64 will surely be orgasmic.

My Attache barrel came in the other day and after shelling out enough money to buy a good used car for it I can't wait to get home and try it out.

I have had simular moving and emotional expierinces in the past with the 9.3x62 and the 6.5x55.

Am I the only one this happens to?

Do I need to seek proffesional help?

The very few guys I have viseted with that have 7x64s seem to be pleased as punch and have a smile on their face 24/7

Does any one on this forum shoot and hunt with the 7x64?

And how has it performed on game?

It is a dirty shame they cost so much and shoot so well

The price of them really turns off a lot of potential buyers

Default 7X64 my caliber of choice!

Model M professional, double set triggers with a 4 power Zeiss.
Shoots groups at 300 yards better than some guys get at a 100 yards.

I was on the phone with a friend of mine tonight and he said nearly the same thing you did. Seems to be a trend with 7x64 shooters

Thats because folks dont under stand how it works.

Your battery is a 223, 30-06 and 338. If you go out and buy custom shop Remingtons, you are into them for say $4500.

Now get a Blaser Professional in all three calibers. Thats one at say $3200 (although usually discounted), plus 2 barrels at $850 and two bolt heads @249 each for a total of each for a total of $5600.

No add another gun to each...a 375. The Rem is at $6K. The Blaser at $6450. One gun, with parts.

Of course comparing Blasers to Savages really skews it. And of course considering that there are $50,000 pls Blasers it does give folks the wrong idea...

But NOTHING is as fast or shoots better

In my case I went a little overboard on the Blaser thing

    I have

    2 Proffesionals

    7 bolt assemblys complete

    1 222 rem barrel Attache

    1 6x62 Freres with sights

    1 25-06 Attache

    1 6.5x55 Attache

    1 6.5x68S standard

    1 270 win Standard

    1 270 WSM standard

    1 7x64 standard

1 7x64 Attache with raz sights

    1 7.5x55 swiss with sights

1 308 win with factory muzzle brake

    1 300 WSM standard

    1 30-06 with sights

    1 8x57 Mauser with sights

    1 8x68S standard

1 9.3x62 Attache with Raz sights

I understand the Blaser system get you hooked and then sell you a lot of barrels
