No, they postponed it until tomorrow.
There were 30 mph gusts at the Homer airport at 6:00 am.
There were a lot of us that withdrew because of Easter tomorrow.

sitting in Homer right now...talked to the derby people and about 50 people withdrew, but at the same time about 20 signed up.

Weather is looking pretty good right now. Seas have calmed down some and wind is starting to lay down some as well. In case anyone was not aware, there is a new NOAA bouy in Cook Inlet that gives wave details (http://seaboard.ndbc.noaa.gov/statio...?station=46106) they were up to almost 10 foot earlier and now dropped to mid 4 footers. Still pretty steep and short duration between crests tho.

With luck the forecast will hold and it'll go on as planned tomorrow. If we're lucky I'll post fish pics tomorrow :-)

Not sure about the google map... or how accurate the NOAA map is, but it shows it out fairly far...

... like middle of Cook Inlet. But either way, gives some idea as to conditions. I will be using that info, as well as Flat Island (FLIA2) for making plans.
