Default Convert 2 Stroke to DFI with Kit? (KENAI LEGAL)

Is there any way to make an ordinary two stoke a DFI (direct fuel Inject) so it meets the new kenai requirements???

Well, can't is a little too strong of a word. It can, it is just not economically feasible......which is just exactly what Yukon said, but different.

Default OHHHH!!! Quit steering him wrong!

It can be done with little effort at all. You SELL your current 2-stroke to some newbie and just get a 50hp Tohatsu...

    Default Good on ya, mate!

That's the right thing to do...for you. Get an Evi/Tohat 2stroke--they're super light!

Kinda like what Chris Stout was saying but add in a muffler or silencer and you got it made. Maybe a bannana in the exhaust or something cheeper.... I like the question though since there are alot of new motors being purchased for the same reason. I think i could help thou with the dallimma. Dont fish there in your boat. Sure saves you alot of $$$$$'s. Then again i have'nt ran that river with a boat. I do have a 35hp 2 stroke on my 16' Lund. There are always options. Which one are you gonna chose?
Sorry if i wasn't much of an influence. Sorry if i was'nt much help.

not to be a stickler but the evinrude is not lighter than the others. I think the issue is that at 50 hp evinrude is using the block out of a larger motor series. Pure economics basically. Don't jump me, I know they are way lighter at 90 hp and above.
