Between 7 pm Tuesday and noon on Wedsnesday, Whittier got about 16" of snow - and it was still snowing hard after that.

The east ramp is not yet repaired.

    Default we didnt go anywhere

weather looking crappy and the report of all that snow confirmed the boat not going anywhere this weekend. pinched a nerve in my shoulder anyway so im foiling up some jigs and getting them ready for powder coating.

I got my yah yahs last weekend. We went down to homer and spent the night out by Elizebeth Island. The water was mostly rough,10-12 foot rollers with some nasty wind. The fishing was horrible, not a single bite on the whole boat in 2 1/2 days. The boat is back in the yard now and I will patiently wait for the winter to subside. But I got my yah yahs out!

    dirtface,

I am glad I didn't go yet. I am truly waiting for a nice day. I would like good fishing too, but a nice day cruising around PWS or Resurrection would be just fine as I am having some serious boating withdrawls. Next year, I am parking the boat behind the house; maybe I will forget about it.......

    Default yea right

forget about your boat. maybe if you plow all the snow from your driveway all around your boat all winter long so theres no way its accesable without a backhoe.

    Default Whittier Snow

Went down to check the slip today- when they said 5ft of snow they meant it. From the looks of it it will be late May before anyone is going to get into the parking lot. No signs of any work being done on the ramps.
