    Default Encore Trigger Jobs

Anyone have recommendations on gunsmiths who work on T/C Encore triggers in/around Anchorage? My normal smith, Vince Baldauf, doesn't do them. I have heard great things about Stan Jackson, but haven't called him about this.

Any other suggestions? I have a kind of creepy trigger I'd like to get smoothed out.

You can also do it yourself. I did mine a few years ago and it wasn't particularly hard. There is a website that has very good instructions and diagrams which led me right through it. They also offered a spring kit that allowed several different weights simply with a spring change. I'll try to find the website for you.

I had a trigger job done on my encore and what a difference it made. Their triggers are pretty stiff from the factory. I had mine done here in Fairbanks.

Looks like he is charging $10 for the CD (I borrowed it from a friend). You can order it here - http://www.bellmtcs.com/Prod_and_Serv/EncoreCD.htm

Give it a try, it really wasn't all that hard.

    Default Bellum

Bellum TC has a free down load that shows how to do it yourself. I did my own and it was super easy. I now have a nice crisp 2 and 1/2 lb trigger on my encore. If the download is no longer free, PM me and I'll e-mail you the slide show that has step by step trigger job.

Yeah the Bellm way is a good way to go. I used his springs too. I have a set of the special pliers he sells I can let go if you decide to do it yourself.

Thanks for the feedback, I'll look in to his instructions. I may take you up on the pliers. Looks like it should be easy with both of us in Anchorage.

    Thumbs up Very useful information

This was a very informative and useful thread. Thanks for starting it Mort, and thanks to those who contributed...my Encore has a trigger job in its future.

I surfed his site, and he seems genuinely interested in helping people improve their own guns. I'm gonna do my own trigger job with some parts I ordered. Rimfirematt, I'll PM you about purchasing those pliers. Perhaps I can pass them along when I'm done! Thanks again to all.

Woundedknee, thanks for the download. It worked fine and is a detailed application for the encore trigger. Mark
