Default Halibut in Ketchikan in June

Hi- I have booked a bottom fish trip in Ketchikan in June. The captain told me I could catcj halibut 20 minutes from the dock? Is this true? I thought one had to run a couple hours offshore? I wanted to go in Sika but couldn't find a boat for just 2 people. Thanks

    Yes you could.

The question will be if they are there you could catch halibut and what size halibut will I catch if they are there and biting?

June isn't typically a real hot month, but you could catch them.

PM met your captain and I'll let you know if he's reputable, IMHO.
