    Default Trapping permit needed??

Is a trapping permit needed for coyote, or can I hunt them with my regular hunting/fishing license?

    Thanks
    Doug

Get a trapping license just to cover yourself. With a trapping license there may or may not be a limit that you can harvest.

Doug, I think the extra $15 is worth the expense and here's why. There are no limits on certain fur bearers with a trappers permit and the permit allows you to use artificial light when in search of furbearers between Nov. 1- Mar. 31 in Units 7 and 9-26 during an open season. See page 13 of the regs

Correct me if I am wrong but a trapping license is good until the fallowing years September. My trapping license, that I bought in Early Janurary, says it expires in late 09.

BUT If you don't plan to take home a truck load of yote while using artificial light I wouldn't bother with the permit.

for the info. I'll get the permit to be on the safe side.

    Thanks
