    Default Replacing kill switch

I have a 1998 ZR 500 and last week the kill switch quit working. Then the other day while i was trying to fix that, the key switch stopped working so i had to pull the plugs to stop it. I also still can't even figure out how to dissasemble the kill switch. I would really appreciate ANY help.

    Default Ground wire

Sounds like a ground wire problem. The on/off switch and kill switch are probably connected to the same ground wire and it is loose or broken. Only thing I can think of.

    Default

As far as shutting it down without any switches/keys, choking it out would me my best bet...

    Default another possibility

Another related problem I have found on several Arctic Cat models is the connector for the kill switch. It is located in the harness on the steering shaft around the top of the cowling, opening-closing the cowl seems to work the connector loose. Remove the protective wrap (usually a velcro held fabric wrap) to access the connector and secure it with a small zip tie. Has worked well for me. CN
