    Default boat name

Named mine "Cape Codder"--cause that`s where I come from. My spare boat is named "Moxie" because it is orange--any New Englander would know the reference.

As far as I know only Documented Vessels are registered with the Coast Guard. Once Documented only US Marshalls or Coast Guard can board them uninvited. Well that's how it was when I commercial fished years ago out of Sitka.

Finally meet a kindred soul here! My wife didn't have much to do with naming the boat, but she sure laughed when my buddies named the Capt Crunch! I'm with you on the one tree, one rock, don't they know we have feelings?

I named my boat the Alaskan Maineiac. Actually I share the name with my boat. I am from Maine originally and I drive my boat like a maineiac.

Several years ago after taking some visiting friends up a very low Salcha and winding up stuck twice they nick named me Sand Bar Dick, it has since been shortened to SBD, but the name sticks. They have even given me b'day gifts imprinted with SBD. Stuck twice in one day, what's the big deal? At least I haven't hit any trees, a few sweepers maybe, but they jumped out in front of me, certainly not my fault.
