    Default Fly swap?

I saw last spring there was a fly swap that I was too late to get involved in, but would be interested in doing so this spring if it happens. I have been watching the forum but have not seen it mentioned, and was wondering if that was a one time deal or if it is going to happen again?

    Default Fly Swap

I'd be up for the 2nd Annual! Sooner the better as by mid April everyone wants to get outdoors.

Well I don't think I would be the best to head it up because I think it was done last year through the mail, and my mail set up would not be the best for such a thing. I am how ever willing to help out with what I can.

    Default swap

Is there going to be a certain type of swap, or just any fly you want?

    Good Question,
I'd vote for a nymph or fry type pattern but I'll go with whatever is decided upon

    Default Get it rollin'

AKPM if you're serious about running this one - Take Charge. From my experience last year, it was like pulling teeth getting some of the flies in the mail. Most people need at least a month with family obligations, work etc. I think late April is more realistic, but you decide. Just let us know the style and deadline!

Clice - It was shorted lived, but it worked well. I tied my own variation using dubbing brushes to get the fly down quicker (mostly for the practice with my NorVise). If you get a chance, PM me as I would like to see those other designs you were working on last year.

    Ok taking charge.

Any type of fly is accepted, I'd like a dozen different flies, either 6 people with 2 each or 12 people with one fly each

Looks like so far we have:
    Myself
    big_dog60
    Wyatt
    guns68
    Clice

looks like we need one more tyer at least. Lets give it another week. I'll check back friday night.

P.S. if a mod could sticky this that'd be cool

I will probably tie a pattern I named "Big D" it's a Silver pattern and a steelhead pattern have not thought of a name for this one yet but if anything it might be close to a Garcia type pattern just my own version

I'm planning on tying pheasant tail nymphs and Montana bills. Iv'e had real good luck with the Bill's fishing the surf for pinks.

    ok, I have mine tied.
Can I just send an addressed envlope with a couple of stamps?
I thought that might be the easiest for you.

Depending on the fly, you might want to use a small box inside a bubble envelope or something like that. Some flies would be fine in an envelope, but other's may not fare so well.
