    Default Chugach Mt air taxi

I have a friend who drew a one of the new Chugach Mt permits (DS 165) for himself and his son and is looking for recommendations for an air taxi service that flies that area. Does Al Lee still fly that area? Bishop? Ellis? Meekins? Any recommendations or suggestions would be appreciated.

    Default Bill Wiedekehr

Check with Bill Wiedekehr out of Palmer. He's flown into that area a lot over the years and does a good job.

    Thumbs up Meekins

I used Mike for my first sheep hunt in that area just before it went to draw. I was more than happy with this service. Friendly, knowledgable, and reliable!

    Default Lee

Al Lee no longer flys, but his son Jerry does. Mostly floats though.

Any idea what it would cost to just have a meat pickup? I got the Hunter Creek late season and will probably just hike it out but have thought about having the meat and extra gear hauled out If we are pretty deep in there.

    Default Hunter Creek

The people that I know that have successfully hunted Hunter Creek have floated out to the Butte Bridge where they used their cell to call for a ride. As a point of information there is good cell phone reception and transmission in many areas of Hunter Creek.

Much of Hunter Creek is in the park and it is not legal to land in the park. Be sure to check out boundaries....
