I listed this in the swap and sell forum, but wanted to post here also.

you may have a little more luck finding a used copy at fly anglers online (google it) or faol.

I've already had tried them and didn't have any success, unless I missed something.

I think you guys know only 250 of these are in existence - those are the least expensive available - but you can get some newer ones for $4 grand a set if you have the coin - here's the full listing

    Default Option

Try Barnes and Noble on line.. They give you an option of buying new sometimes a lot of $$$$ or used and the used books are from book stores all over. they state the condition of the books. I just picked up a flyfishing book for $15.00 with shipping verus $35.00. Book only had one turned corner- no stains etc.

hate to rain on anyone's suggestions:

But this is a rare book, you aren't going to find it on barnes and noble; $600 is less than the $1000+ that they go for at auctions, for example:

    $100 for volume 2 was a steal - I want one.

I also picked up another one by Schmookler title Forgotten Flies, both are excellent illustrated books for fly tying. I guess I'm just dreaming/wishing a little bit to pick up V. 2 under $600.

    thanks

why not call up the publisher and ask about getting a reprint done if not a soft copy a 3rd edition hard copy?

There are guys on FAOL who can help you. Heck half the internet based fly fishing folks are on that site for petes sake lol. Well it sure seems that way anyways

Good suggestion but sadly the writers have said there would be no reprints.
