    Hey muledeer,

Just so you put Stid's response in perspective, he's a great guy to know in terms of equipment and meat handling...he does the planning and camp setup, helps spot animals, and his wife is the crack shot in the family, Stid is good with the knife tho once his wife knocks it down!

Just kidding Steve, always enjoy your stories and tips on tents, fences, etc!

    Default Hunts

Whats a Semi DIY hunt? Is that where the outfitter drops you off without a guide? I didn't know you could do that in Canada...just curious, I'd like to do a DIY hunt there myself.

    Default Semi DIY

    Kahahawai, Sheephunter,

Yes it is in Quebec, and I found an outfitter that offers what they call a semi diy package. They provide transportation round trip from Monteral and everything but food and a guide who hunts with you. There prices went up about $400 per person on average from last years prices. It doesn not include you licience/tags for two Caribou ($275 u.s)
