    Whats an average hourly rate for a float planes out of anchorage? ive been quoted 1100 from anchorage to coghill lake in a 206 with a light load. it should be about a 50 min flight.

    Any help woud be appreciated

    me and a buddy of mine flew into lake bay once and rode back in a boat. the plane ride i belive cost a 120.00 apiece if i remember right. the distance from anchorage to these two locations arent that different. of course this was quite a few years back but 1100.00 sounds pretty steep especially if this is only one way. id shop around if i were you and you can also check into travel by boat but the hike into the lake is a ways from what i understand.

    My experience has been 300 an hour on average, 450 on the high end.

    I usually pay $500/hour for Beaver flights including 3+ heavy load.

    ~350 an hour 4 years ago so a bit more now...
    I choose to fly fish, not because its easy, but because its hard.
