Whats an average hourly rate for a float plane out of anchorage? ive been quoted 1100 from anchorage to coghill lake in a 206 with a light load. it should be about a 50 min flight.

depends on the size of the plane and what part of the state. is that 1100 for one way or round trip?

Sounds like $600 an hour, I have not went with places that based on hourly rates but with increasing fuel prices I could see $600 an hour. I'd rather see that for a Beaver. In 2003 a Beaver was $450/hour.

Rates down here in Ketchikan will probably go over $600 per hour this season ....

Good thing we use gas and not wheat I see that wheat is up to near $25/bushell. I recall when living in MT that $5 was a great price. And more likely $3.50 was what folks got, many farmers at the time had 250,000 + bushell in storage.

i'm paying around 350 an hour for a 206 in talkeetna and on kodiak i'm paying about 550 an hour for a beaver, both on floats, 750lbs for the 206 and 1200lbs for the beaver.

I think the OP means $1,100 for roundtrip to Coghill in a 206, right? If so, that's a shade under $350/hr.
