    SEMINAR DESCRIPTIONS

Care of Big-Game Meat and Trophies
From the field to the freezer, learn the tips and tricks used in the guiding industry to perform a complete, clean salvage of your big game trophy!

    Planning Your Alaska Float Hunt
Covers air charter selection, area selection, group dynamics, budgeting, equipment, logistics and more. Note: though geared specifically for float hunting, this session also addresses the needs of DIY drop-camp hunters.

    Gearing Up For Float Hunting
Covers boat selection, tents, camping equipment and related river gear. Also covers the pros and cons of renting your gear.

    Advanced Float Hunting Tactics
Essential skills for hunting Alaska’s “Big Five”; moose, caribou, brown / grizzly bear and Dall sheep. Also covers river navigation, tracking and hazard avoidance.

    Special Float Hunting Q & A session
Friday and Saturday's seminar lineup conclude with a live question and answer session, so bring your questions and hunt plans, and let's talk! We can also use this time slot to cover any material we were not able to cover in the previous sessions.

I will be on hand throughout the show, at Chris Batin's "Alaska Hunter" booth near the show entrance, to sign your copy of "Float Hunting Alaska's Wild Rivers", for those who have not yet purchased a copy.

Note that all seminars are free with your admission to the show.

    Hope to see you there!

    Best regards,

    -Mike

Get his book. I have it and love it. I was able at the ABA banquet to duck in and out of his seminar. From the parts that I was there it was very informative.

Goodness with my work travel schedule lately I am almost shocked that I will be in town for the show. How is the seminar for the ladies? My wife is soon to be a new hunter and I am hoping to get some exitement built up in her at the show. (she allready shoots quite well @ 100yds and exceptional at 30 w/ my redhawk) I can't wait to see the rest of the schedule!
