    Default Bow fishing question.

    Hello,

I am new to this forum.

This summer we are going on a vacation to Alaska with another family. We will stop in Anchorage, then proceed to the Kenai Peninsula for fishing and touring. I would like to bring our archery equipment and take my son bowfishing. I did some research, and according to the Alaska Dept of F&G, bowfishing is permitted only for Pike.

Has anyone bowfished for Pike, and if so what was your experience?
    Any locations and suggestions?

    Thanks

i bowfish for pike regularly and live on Kenai Peninsula. You really need a boat, not high numbers on the Peninsula. PM me as you get close to coming and let me know when you will be here if i'm available i might be able to get youout to try and stick some. mat-su valley is alot better.
