Wink Living off the Grid Still??

Does that guy and his wife, Heimee and Edna, something like that, he's about 53 years old, they raised 2 or 3 girls, do they still live off the grid and somewhere in the wild of Alaska? Anyone know? Kudos to them whether they do or don't still do it. Great inspiration.

I believe Heimo moved his girls to Fairbanks but still spends time at the cabin trapping. The book about him and his family was a great read.

    Default Yep

just saw the book "The Last Frontiersman" at Fred Meyers. Sells for about $14.99.

Nice pictures of both of them and the kids. Dayyum! he got old just like meeee.

I breezed through it while the woman was shopping. It seems that the State of Alaska has given the oldest girl rights to the property. Then when she's gone, it goes to the state, and they will probably burn it down like they have all the other cabins out there. (sigh)

Yeah-I saw that video back in the 1980's "Braving Alaska". Watched it about a gazillion times, and moved here about 8-monthd ago.
