Ok, put your bets in. Who's your team this year?
I'm hoping that Davis/Palin make a comeback and win it again.
Mark Niver team 23. check him out at www.nytro23.com Jesse
Always routing for Chris Olds, that guy taught me how to tune a snowmachine.
The emphasis is on accuracy, not power!
Saw they had to tow one machine into Galena. And the pack is starting to separate. Here's to hoping.... Jesse
I going to go with Minnick he is a good guy, and he can ride with the best of them.
Too bad. They were doing well. Last night the results showed them leaving Galena, but now their scratched... Oh well. Jesse
Looks like Palin smashed his machine, hit a buried barrel and the machine stopped cold. They said he went flying for about 70 feet. Scott took him to the medic but it appears he isn't hurt too bad. That's good.
Maybe they're going to have to scratch?

Well, my team ended up 4th due to a wreck and the associated mechanical difficulties. Seems like every year it is decided in the last 300 miles by what machines hold together.
I wish the media would cover this race more in depth. I wonder what it would take to get some camera crews out there (mobile and at checkpoints) and a couple aircraft up covering the Iron Dog in Winter X-Games style? They could edit a multi-day race down to an hour or two program for broadcast, and/or run daily race segments with additional coverage on finish day. I know it's a low budget race composed mostly of volunteer labor and a small prize donation, but if it was covered on a national basis like other races, I would think commercial sponsorship would increase with public interest. Just wishing.
