    Default Bear Bait Clinic 2-8-08

Anyone else going to the bear baiting clinic at the Captain Cook in Anchorage at 7pm? I'll be there (wearing a Quebec Nordiques ball cap) with my buddy jrt34. Anyone else going? BTW, there is another clinic @ the Captain Cook Sat. 2-9-08 I believe at 8am.

My wife doesn't think much of that as a Friday night date. Even though Valentines is right around the corner- not even a bonus point!

    Starts at 7pm.

Daveinthebush would most likely know if there is a Valdez one coming up. ADF&G hasn't even listed the bear beat clincs on its sight so I have no idea.

    Default $$$$

Does the bear abiting clinics cost anything and if so how much? And about how long do they go for, a few hours or more?
    Thanks

The clinic is free, but you need to call ADF&G in Anchorage to register. I believe it is scheduled for an hour.

    Default March

I will probably do a clinic in March over in Valdez. I have to check with Officer Beck as he and I do it together. Should be at the college, usually start at 6:00 PM and I have done clinics for the Coast Guard on special request if they are out of port.

I will post the information when I have it.

    Vietnam - June 70 - Feb. 72
Cancer from Agent Orange - Aug. 25th 2012
    Cancer Survivor - Dec. 14th 2012

    Default Registration?

I called fish & game over a week ago. Said registration for the ABA clinic wasn't necessary. Is this wrong? If so, I need to call. Someone let me know. Thanks! I know the clinics put on by fish & game you are required to register, but I don't know about this clinic. Was told one thing and not the other, I guess.

    Default Bait Clinic Registration

I thought the same but when I called they put my name into a computer. Not sure if that means I am registered or not. My guess is you are fine.

Tim is our president and certifited to teach the bear baiting class. He also works for Fish and Game. Fish and Game is aware of the class this weekend and has told people about it. Now with that said I talked to Paige tonight and if it gets to crowded we will open the partition to make more room for everyone.

    Default Gary

So, do I need to call Fish & Game or you guys? Or can I just show up early in the morning? I've been planning on the Sat. morning clinic for two weeks, now. Like I said, when I called Fish & Game, the guy said it wasn't required to register. If I need to call, what are the numbers? Thanks!!

I called them and they said they had unlimited space. So I plan on being at tonight's class.
It ain't about the # of pounds of meat we bring back, nor about how much we spent to go do it. Its about seeing what no one else sees.
