    Default what's wrong with this??

I'm not sure where to post this, but I'm amazed it showed up as a link from this site. It is a hunting Alaska site.

Hint: if you scroll half way down the page you're missing it.

Ken - I'm not seeing what you're referring to. It did, however, say that I didn't have the correct plug-in to play some media, so maybe that's what you're referring to?

Incidentally, if this was one of the Google Ad links from this site, we have little control over those. Those links are generated using google's word matches with the forums.

Yeah Brian, I know it's a Google link. Look at his modes of transportation for his "fair chase hunts". On the top of the page.

That's what I figured too Brian, when those links showed up on my wood fired hut tub thread.

Ah...listing a helicopter as a mode of transportation, eh? Not so good for a hunting site since it is illegal in AK.

If you click on their "offers" page, two of the animals that can be hunted are mature "boar" bull moose and "reindeer".

I didn't immediately see fishing offered, but helicopters are allowed as a mode of transportation for fishing aren't they?

I'll say this, this type of hunting servise gives me the creeps. They may be a great service and maybe not I dont know. Ive never been guided on a hunt. I taught myself how to hunt I wouldnt want my hand held.

    Default Alaska Lodge???

Check out the lodge pictures. That's gotta be somewhere in the southwestern part of the U.S.. Maybe New Mexico?
Am I missing something? Is there anywhere on their site that promotes hunts in some other state? I can't believe that this outfit would think people are so stupid as to not figure out that something is wrong here.

I saw the helicopter thing & assumed that was what you were pointing toward.
Like Lab Man I assume they do either fishing or flight seeing trips with them. And yes Lab Man, they are legal for fishing.

I agree about the lodging. I took a look at the 20k 5 year hunt. I found it interesting that the list of "out of pocket" expenses include: Round trip float plane from Kenai, $5,000. 2 Guide wages: $7,000.00 And grub: varies. Since when do you have to pay the guides yourself on guided hunts? I always thought that was part of the deal.

BTW Viking, brown bears come in a lot of color phases, from blonde to almost black. You'll enjoy it when you get here.

he was brought up on here before with some of his wacky comments in the guide report,as for his offerings would you expect anything less from an ALASKAN guide that resides in texas?

It depends on where you are fishing for Helicopters. I know they are illegal in the Iliamna area for fishing (just wanted to clear that up, so everybody doesn't start jumping in their helos and going fishing)
