Default heading to paxon for predators

Any Suggestions for teh trip? I saw a few foxes up there last year when we were ptarmigan hunting, no ptarmigan
This year I'm bringing the .243 and the Benneli. Any suggestions on what calls you've had work and also if anyone has seen ptarmigan there recently.
    Thanks

Do you have any Coyote howlers? There are a few coyotes there, and if you hear wolf howls, challenge them with a coyote howl.

    Default For fox

For fox I would suggest the standard rabbit in distress call when calling around Paxon. I can personally attest to it working like a charm on that end. Good luck.

Keep your eye out for cats too! There are pockets of lynx in that area.

I saw a Nice red fox cross the road on the way back from a caribou hunting trip on the McClaren as well as 20-30 ptarmigan standing in the middle of the road.

Well then that's a perfectly good reason to plan another trip for this year!
