Curious to who is headed down there? I'm thinking of heading down there and wetting a line.

I am interested in going but can't seem to find anyone else willing to go. Do the charters head out fothe tournament or just private boats?
It ain't about the # of pounds of meat we bring back, nor about how much we spent to go do it. Its about seeing what no one else sees.

I've forgotten what the date is. but I plan on going down if I can find a good boat. went down fri, the weather cooperated and we had a great time. landed 6 lost 4 at the boat. winter fishing for kings rocks! what a nice change from ice fishing.

I will be there, just fun fishing and not chartering!
great trip to go fishing one day and riding sno-go's the next!

Now, if I could just find someone with a wide track to launch the skiff at Whiskey Gulch, we could really save on some gas money!

Do you pretty much need to have downriggers to fish for winter kings? I don't have riggers but usually mooch for silvers in August and do just fine. Does the same apply for winter kings?
