    Default Todays meanderings

Well, what timing! I met up with Shearj today and led my first workshop this afternoon and evening. The weather could not have been better and the light cooperated bigtime. That doesnt always happen. We started out in Connors bog with Shearj looking for moose and ended up on Elmendorf with 3 workshop participants for a 3 hour shoot that brought us great light, lots of snowy backdrops and even a Bald eagle dropping in trying to steal a fish from an ice fisherman! Couldnt ask for a better day! (well except maybe for some warmer weather next time!)

Hey Eddie! The scenics were all with the 16-35 on the 1D MkII today. Each one at a different focal length that framed the scene the best. We looked hard today all over base and off for wolves and tracks but the later is all we found and really not many of those. The wildlife guys are harassing the wolves every chance they get to keep their interaction with humans to a minimum. Good for the pets, but bad for photographers!

Yes, the sunsets were all out near the tail of six mile. The pastel moonrise was on the road heading to triangle lake.
