    Default Palmer Gun Show

From what I saw posted, the gun show in Palmer is March 29th and 30th.

    Default Gun show reviews????

    Hello all,
I have not been to this gun show before but was thinking of taking the family. Can anyone who's been there give me a mini review? Is it a sizable show? Food sales? Entry Fee? Anything you can think of really. I guess mainly is it worth driving from Anchorage? Thanks for your time.

Default Wasilia & Palmer Gun Shows

The Wasilia High School and Lion's Club Gun Shows in Palmer are both well worth the drive if you enjoy guns and people who enjoy guns and shooting. In my opinion these are both great enjoyable shows esp. for their size.

When I was up here in the early mid-80s the gun collectors group also put on some great shows in Anchorage. I was a member then and helped with the shows. I still have a poster from one we put on at the Brown Convention Center downtown.

Between living here then and now I at several location in the lower 48 ending up in Houston. The Houston Gun Collectors of which I was a member for some years used to have some great shows in the old AstroHall. The last one I went to five years or so ago when I was in Houston was no fun at all. They had been moved to the new fancy building and raised the table fees above the cost of most small hobbiest that used to make the show great. Unfortuatley I think what happened to the Houston show is happening to most gun shows in the lower 48.

Don't know if the family would enjoy it or not unless they really enjoy guns and hunting stuff.

The wasilla gun show is the must see gun show for alaska in my opinion. They usually have the gym area (2 decks) filled with gun stuff and mostly gun stuff, and usually reasonable prices on things. Must have something to do with time of year I guess.
There is usually some food vendors there. But I was not impressed. I will fill up before attending this year. I cant remember what the door fee was. Parking is usually free and ample.

I like most gun shows, but I always look forward to the one in the Wasilla High School. It seems to be the biggest and bestest.
