This is the Interior region meeting to be held February 29th – March 10th, 2008. Print copies have also shipped at this time and will be available at your local Fish and Game office.

Alaska Board of Game to Meet in Anchorage , January 25-28
( JUNEAU ) - The Alaska Board of Game will meet January 25-28, 2008, at the Coast International Inn in Anchorage , to consider over 70 proposals concerning regulatory changes to statewide provisions for hunting and the use of game.
Proposals have been submitted by the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, state advisory committees, and the general public seeking adjustments to statewide provisions for hunting and trapping regulations. Proposal topics include methods and means for hunting and trapping, Tier II permit point system, and changes to the drawing permit point system. The board will take oral public testimony beginning Friday, January 25. Anyone wishing to testify before the board must sign up at the meeting site before 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 26. Public testimony will continue until everyone who has signed up has been given the opportunity to be heard. Members of the public will be given three minutes each for personal testimony before the board.
The deadline to ensure written comments on proposals are included in the Board of Game members’ meeting binders is 5:00 pm this Friday, January 11. Written comments on specific proposals that are received after 5:00 pm this Friday will be accepted and distributed to members during the meeting up until they begin deliberation on the proposal. Deliberations on the proposals will begin following public testimony and continue through the remainder of the meeting. The Board expects to conclude the meeting within the scheduled four day time period, but if the Board determines more time is necessary, the meeting may be extended to Tuesday, January 29.
