    Those are some great shots. You can see some loss with the TC on there but not much. I usually am not very happy using the 2X TC. May have to try the 1.4.

    Nice photos! May I ask what kind of shutter speeds you usually find necessary to photograph birds? I just got my first DSLR and I am thirsty for knowledge. Thanks for any insights!

    basically what light allows, I usually use 1/125-1/200 or so with the flash, I gotta remember to keep my flash in rear curtain sync mode though
