    Default Have you

Have you ever been down the Yukon River? You will also need a vehicle and trailer to take it up to the Yukon. You could go down the Chena to the Tanana but it is not for the unexperienced boater. Lots of sloughs, gravel bars and the route is not easily defined.

I know of no one willing to rent a boat, trailer and vehicle.

I can't imagine that there would be a business willing to take on the financial and legal risk of renting out boats for use on a river like the Yukon. I doubt you'll find such an arrangement.

    Default I agree!!

By the time you figure the $$$$ to rent a boat & fuel I think you'll be money ahead to do a fly out hunt or even a float hunt rather than just crusing the Yukon River.

    Default Ft Wainwright

If you are military or know someone who is, you can rent them from Ft Wainwright MWR for a reasonable price. I believe the biggest they have is a 20 ft with a 115hp. If you are able to go through them, reserve it early, becuase they go quick for hunting season.

Also if your eligible to rent a boat from Wainwright or Eielson, you still need to take the safety class, or show your card that you did ....CK

Boats from the Wainwright MWR are not allowed on the Yukon. Too many problems with inexperienced boaters getting into trouble.

Maybe get a price quote for a charter to drop you off and pickup at a specified time?
