Default Anyone booked there hunt yet?

Just put the deposit down on this falls fly out Moose hunt. This has to be the earliest ive ever booked. Just wondering if anyone else has booked this early or when any of you plan on setting your hunting plans in stone?

    Default long time to wait

My brother called yesterday to tell me he had just booked the 2009 moose hunt. Then again he always was an early bird.

I just went and had a talk with my truck, my boots, and my pack. They're all on notice, and will be ready to go come August. Yep, I'm booked!

I've got a caribou hunt with my daughter on the air services schedule. My brothers in Ohio dropped it on me that they want to come up moose hunting this fall so now I'm hard at planning that. Then there's going to be sheep hunt once I draw the permit. Hunters, the eternal optimists!

Sheep is booked, moose plans are made and require no booking. Everything else I'm hunting can wait until a little later in the year to firm up.

Default Caribou with 40 Mile Air

Booked with 40 Mile for late August. Can't wait! Been making lists and buying new gear for a year.

    Default Booked

I booked a caribou hunt with Mike from Alaska Bush Sports with the agreement If I dont get a goat tag on Kodiak I can switch it to a sheep hunt in the brooks range. Started getting in goat and sheep shape to improve my odds. Think I might need somemore food and ammo, but besides that I might just buy my self a new range finder.

    Default Not Yet...

Had planned to hunt moose out of Tok with 40 Mile, had two different partners lined up, but both had to cancel late (one is getting married and the other just closed on a house). So I'm way behind the 8 ball for this year, trying to look into other options.

    Default DIY

Don't need to book anything. My buddies and I are going on a spring black bear hunt on POW island. We were too early last year. Maybe we will see more bears this year. Just need to wait until my Alaska hunting partner gets his vacation dates and get my airline ticket booked.

Already have my spring brown bear hunt planned, compliments of ADFG. After winter draw results come out i'll make my plans for sheep and possibly goat. Moose will happen too but i'll know more about what i'm doing after the spring draws are over, though I fly in is not required. Only fly in I might do this year is for sheep and maybe goat.

    Default In to the woods...

Just sent off a check to Northwestern Aviation. Going in September with my best huntin' buddy. Haven't been hunting in 3 years and I got skunked the year before that. I'll have to stop myself from shooting first Caribou I see after I get outta the tent the first morning after being dropped off. I've done that before and it doesn't result in the highest quality meat.
