    Default Does anyone have experience with the kayrak system?

    Do any of you have experience with this stabilizer system? It looks really nice for longer trips.

    I would be concerned about drag. Only on one side for that matter. Also, what about close quarters paddling. Hitting a rock with the spontoon could be disastrous. I have spontoons that mount to the side of my Ally pack canoe for added stability and they have saved me a time or two on NW Alaska rivers, but if they stuck out a few feet, they would have caused much more harm than good. Depends entirely on what water you are on. Just my thoughts.

    Hi. Sorry, this is for sea kayaking rather than river kayaking. I hear a lot of great reviews and haven't found any negatives searching all the major search engines. That is a good sign. It is mostly for deep-sea fishing where narrow areas aren't too big of a factor.
