Default Up from the lower 48. - Need VFR charts for Canada!

I've been trying to plan a trip to Alaska in my Bellanca Super Viking this summer (2008) but have been unable to get VFR charts for western Canada. WAC E15 would solve my problems but even navcanada is out.

I also tried getting VNC (sectional) charts but of the six I need only three are available.

I've tried Sporty's and Aircraft Spruce without success too.

You might try Aircraft Spruce, or some local Alaskan shops like Tamarack air:
    http://tamarackair.com/ or Northern Lights Avionics: http://www.nlavionics.com/ .

Hope this helps. Sounds like a fun trip. The Viking is a nice airplane.....Louis

It is a pain in the ***** to get in date charts for the ALCAN. When I flew the it in Sept 06 I had to use 3 out of date charts and an out of date Canadian Supplement. The good news is not much changes geologically speaking. I did call ahead to each air station I was stopping at to verify frequencies prior to departing my overnight. It was one of the best flights I have ever done. If you have questions PM me.

Just yesterday I was in The Aviator's Store on Boeing Field in Seattle looking at the CG's for Alaska. As I recall, they had a pretty good stock of charts for western Canada, including the ALCAN chart. Don't know how current they are, but you might give them a call. 206-763-0666

They also had what looked to be a complete stock of Alaska Sectionals.

No, nothing. I did borrow a E-15 from a friend. That gives me everything I need.
