Default What makes your Christmas feel Alaskan?

What about your Christmas meal and gathering is Alaskan to you? I was originally thinking specifically about the food....but other stuff is interesting too.

We often have veggies that we have preserved and jam or chutney that was made from the years harvests.

We often go out for a walk or a ski or a snowmachine ride with the kids and the dogs after dinner. Going out in the Alaskan outdoors after a good meal is always very satisfiying and makes me appreciate where I live.

What makes your Christmas Alaskan to you?

I'd like to turn that around a little. Being in Alaska, makes it seem like Christmas all the time.

Everyone have a Merry Christmas and a Happy Yule to Rick P.

Default King Crab and Copper River Reds

Nothing can compare to an Alaskan Feast of King Crab and Copper River Reds. For Thanksgiving I had only King Crab, couldn't bring myself to eat any of the other stuff, including Turkey, as I made way to much King Crab....is it Christmas yet?
