The country where the rifle was manufactured will be stamped on the barrel!

    Vance,

If it is a new rifle it is made in U.S. Currently made Weatherbys are made in the USA.
Is there nothing so sacred on this earth that you aren't willing to kill or die for?

    Thumbs up Weatherby

My Accumark is made in the USA, most Mark 5 actions are made in the USA except the good old ones were made in Germany. The Vanguards were made in Japan.

    Default Weatherbys

Actually, the consensus of Weatherby collectors is the best made Weatherbys were made in Japan, (best steel, workmanship, wood etc) with the German guns second and US made guns a distant third. The German guns remain the most "collectable".

    Default Weatherby country of origin

The first Weatherby rifles were built in CA on FN actions made in Belgium. When they came out with the MK 5 they made some in the US but they didn't work out so they switched to JP Sauer in W. Germany. Then they went to Japan for quite a while before coming back to the US again.

In my opinion the early German guns are the nicest as far as workmanship and wood but the German made guns declined in quality like most everything else has most everywhere.
