Default can non-native use either fur license/taxidermy to tan, sell?

    Ok, got a tough question...

i live in a small native village that gets seals, but, they don't tan any more and dont' want to flesh the skins and send them out...

so, with a taxidermy license, could i...as a non native....flesh and tan seals?

if i wanted to sell them, would i then have to have the fur dealer license?

    thanks,

    Default find out for yourself

you need to call Agent Mike Wade(fish and wildlife special agent) in Nome and have a talk with him. He is the one who for SURE knows the law, since he is the one who enforces it. And peddling sea mammals is NOT something you want to screw around with.
