    Default Rabbit Hides?????

selling rabbit hides was brought up in another thread. this peaked my interest i was wondering if i could get more info. is the there a market for green hides or do they need to be tanned. i am not a trapper (nothing against it just not my thing) but, i do a lot of hare hunting. have always felt bad for discarding the hide. great fur just had nothing i could do with it. i have started looking into tanning them but then what? Would be great if i could finance my hobby with my hobby. least part of it. so if u guys could shed more light on this i would appreciat it.

I bet they would make some warm mittens. I wonder if it would be profitable.

I have seen them taned and then turned into bags or purses to sell to tourist. Also people who tie flies will use tanned rabbit fur.

    Default selling rabbit hides

I have sold them at the fur rondy auction before. If I remember right they went for 11 dollars a piece. Streached them on a muskrat steacher. They are very easy to skin.
