    Default sputtering problems

So I have a 2003 800 RMK. I have a heel klicker primary clutch kit, MBRP can, SLP cheater head(50/50 mix 90 octane, 110 octane), big wheel kit, and an ATACC. The sled idles fine and is running awesome on the trail, but when I start tearing around in any deep powder it starts to sputter and lose most of its power. Does anyone have an idea of what may be causing this???

I had an 03' RMK and it would do that in deep powder. I was told it was caused by snow getting under the hood and cooling pipe. When I closed the air vents on the hood it stopped. Hope it helps!

Check out this thread, it may help!!

BTW, why are you running higher octane anyways. This only lowers your combustion temperature and cools your pipe even more. You will get NO benefit from running higher octane unless your engine compression has gone up from stock.
