    Default removing pitch from fur

    Caught a wolverine yesterday and it has alot of pitch in its fur. Any tips on removing this?

    I use white gas, unleaded gas, lighter fluid, coleman lantern fuel. They will all work well. Comb it out lightly while lightly applying fluids.

    The least toxic way to remove pitch, tar, bubble gum etc. is with peanut butter (smooth and creamy, preferably) or mayonnaise.

    moose911 interesting I have never heard this befor. Do you use the pb or Mayo prior to drying so you can then wash the pb or mayo out of the hide?
