    Default Fly Fishing for Char!!!

Has anyone had any successful Char fishing trips in the north. I've seen some awesome pictures and would like to know more. What rivers did you fish? Did you float it? Guided or unguided? Thanks.

A trip I've never done, but plan on sometime in the future is on the "Skag" river. September would be a great time for Caribou and lots of HUGE Char. Road to road access, which leaves you up near Prudhoe Bay. Now that's getting out there!

    Default Incredible Char Fishing

The best char fishing I have ever experienced was on S.W. Alaska's Holitna River toward the end of king season. The river was loaded with kings and char, as well as sockeye and the char fishing was unbelievable.

I tied one of my raft guide buddies a bunch of ESLs and he was pretty stoked by the fish his clients caught
I choose to fly fish, not because its easy, but because its hard.
