    Took this photo from the Buttr Lk. area in mid oct.
    Wishing for a better camera outfit from santa so I can try to do justus to views like this.

    Thanks for the kind comment.Sorry about the poor spelling.It was supposed to be Butte Lk. and justice.
    A friend and I went there to camp and hunt ptarmigan. We did get a few but there were so many caribou around that we spent most of the tme watching the bulls chase the cows and keep the younger bulls away. They were running themselves ragged.
    I would like to be back there about the same time next year with a dslr camera and decent lenses just to photograph the caribou.
    Here are a few that I took of them.

    We camped a few miles down the road from the Butte lake trail head and this was taken from our camp.

    Thanks for sharing the photos. That must have been great watching the Caribou rutting. My wife and I made one trip out there last Summer. I caught my first grayling on a fly rod. Beautiful area and cant wait to return.
