Here's some of mine. Let's see what everybody has been doing. Anybody got anything unusual this season?

The top two pics are from the last two days. We've got good numbers of mallards around still.

I wish I could post some of my pictures, only problem is I didn't get any because my dog knocked my camera out of my hand, and that was the end of that.

First snow I have ever killed or seen in the interior.
Shoot hundreds of them in Canada and South Dakota but a true trophy here in the interior.

Last geese of the year. Dog wasn't to impressed with the game strap draped around his shoulders.

Started slow but turned out to be a great goose season. Limits about every day out and they stayed in to Oct this year.

Couple of early season drakes with the new call out of really old myrtle wood. I didn't get out much this year, but did have a couple of really good hunts.

Thinned out a few more this evening. Horrible weather though. We had pouring rain and 30+mph winds. I love the wind as it's the only way to get the birds to come into the marsh, but I'm tired of fighting the rain!

    Default Mcat

I once saw a Snow Flying with Swans in the Delta Area - he was in the very edge of the V and well within Shooting range.

Other than that I have never seen a Snow on the Interior, and down here in South Central I only seem to see them in the Spring - too bad too, becuase we used to hunt them on the Skagit in Washington and it was a hoot!

Here's a shot I took this afternoon down where I've been hunting. With the weather just perfect the birds were flying pretty good. I ended up with 8 mallard (5 greenheads and 3 hens). I'll get the pics of them up tomorrow!

    Default Snows

I saw a flock of about 50 snows when I was shooting at the birchwood shooting range in the early summer. There I was holding a shot gun and thinking, "sure now I see them, why can't they be flying around me during hunting season". They must migrate early or something.

I have some pics of big flocks of snows and specks from during the summer. I was flying out to some barrier islands to work on some aids to navigation and they were flying below the helicopter I was in. Of course the Coast Guard doesn't allow personal weapons on board the helos so theres no chance of getting out there to hunt. Unless of course one of you millionares has a float plane that wants to hunt around here! haha

Yea I have seen snows on the Peninsula bear hunting and other spots on the west coast. There is a pretty big snow goose "flyway" coming out of siberia as they migrate to CA.
